For Will I Dance Again, an animated short film written by an Emmy-nominated screenwriter and starring Alfre Woodard and Misty Copeland, Cam Meyers composed the film’s complete original score. Set against the aftermath of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing, the 17-minute film follows Dana Bradley—a survivor who endured the collapse of the building and the devastating loss of her family—framing her story as one of resilience, love, and survival. Working closely with the screenwriter and post-production team, Meyers developed a deeply cinematic score built around an original piano theme that evolves throughout the film, supported by orchestral textures including violin, cello, brass, bass, piano, pads, and layered ensemble elements. The score was carefully shaped to mirror the film’s emotional arc, moving between intimacy, grief, tension, hope, and ultimately triumph.
